Mentor, why do I need a mentor?

Like any new subject any of us may chose to tackle, those early days are extremely difficult. This very aptly describes the field of internet marketing.

When most of us plunge into trying our hand at an on-line home based business, we really don`t have any idea as to the amount of knowledge to be learned and the subsequent amount of work to be undertaken.

We hear about the vast fortunes being earned but what do we need to do to earn vast amounts of money?

Do you think it better to stumble and bounce about on-line trying to find your way or have the help and guidance of someone who has been there before?

But, as in any type of relationship, there has to be two way traffic. I suppose, by that, I mean as well as finding someone that very same person has to be willing to help and guide you at a speed that suits you both.

So when you look for your mentor do bear the following in mind:

know what you want from the experience  -  have goals

let your potential mentor know what you want from the relationship – you will then find out if the mentor can provide this or not

as with most things in life there may be time constraints so establish priorities to maximise the most of the time you do have

look for feedback from your mentor and realise that this is meant to help you move forwards

act upon the advice you are given!  Nothing will happen unless you act!

Personally, I feel that the best on-line mentor today is Chris Farrell. Hear what he has to say by visiting How To Go On Line
